Local Law 97 states that ‘covered buildings’ must cut their aggregate GHG emissions by 40% by 2030 and further still to 80% by 2050 as related to their emissions from the base year 2005. These goals also apply to buildings owned by the New York Housing Authority (NYCHA). However, the City government must achieve a 40% emissions reduction by fiscal year 2025 and up to a 50% reduction by calendar year 2030 (using the same base year of 2005). [...]New Blog Post
